With integrations for OpsGenie, PagerDuty, Slack, VictorOps, and more, Contact Groups allow Circonus users to receive their alerts through a wide variety of channels. Circonus now has improved support for Contact Groups with HTTP and IRC members, which will prevent errors from occurring when the Contact Groups are loaded and saved in the UI.

Last time, we revealed a few things we’re working on in the Circonus Roadmap. We talked about high resolution visualization of raw data and we talked about how our new, reformatted user documentation will soon go live. More fundamental changes are currently in progress.

Checks are protocol-specific methods of data ingestion. Circonus has over 40 of these integrations, is adding new ones all the time, and custom checks like the flexible JSON check ensure that Circonus can collect data without needing a specific pre-set integration, allowing us to push, pull, or reverse pull data from anywhere.

But we think our users of our system should be able to send data to us without first choosing fields in a check. Last year we created COSI to self-instrument checks for rapid onboarding, but now we’re going much further. When these new developments are complete, Circonus users will have the option to essentially say “just send data and bill me” and it will be just that simple.

Stay tuned as more big changes are underway. We’re all very excited about our plans because these ideas came from both our experts’ insights and feedback from users like you.
