1 Metric ingestion
Core to the Circonus Platform is its ability to ingest a virtually unlimited amount of high-frequency data, with its ingestion pipeline capturing metrics in real time. Telemetry data flows through a real-time streaming analytics processor that supports the Circonus Analytics Query Language (CAQL) and is ultimately stored in Circonus IRONdb for on-demand analysis and visualization. The Platform’s metric ingestion facility is unique in its ability to securely collect and process trillions of measurements per second from a variety of data sources.
2 Circonus IRONdb
Underpinning the Circonus Platform, Circonus IRONdb is one of the highest performing time series databases (TSDB) in the world due to its highly optimized implementation. It supports up to 128 nodes, multiple availability zones, and is capable of ingesting trillions of measurements per second. Circonus IRONdb enables users to benefit from unlimited scale, greater efficiencies, and fault-tolerant storage of all of their telemetry data.
3 Real-time fault detection and alerting
The Circonus Platform redefines real-time when it comes to fault detection and alerting. The low-latency, flexible rules engine applies complex criteria to streaming data, reliably recording any instances of rule violations or anomalies. The Platform also provides high-level notification of cases through a variety of external services, as well as programmer-accessible webhooks.
The Circonus Platform enables users to automate just about anything, and supports the seamless development of solutions and platforms that leverage its capabilities. The interface allows users to manually (UI) or programmatically (API) configure the Platform, and enables administrators to: manage accounts and users; restrict permission of individual users within an enterprise through role-based access control (RBAC); manage integrations; configure alerting; and easily perform analytics, create visualizations, and build dashboards.
